Writing for Shutter…Evolve is an excellent way to gain extra exposure. Shared on the new Shutter…Evolve Facebook page, HDR One facebook page (10,000+ followers), Jimmy McIntyre’s personal Facebook page (15,000+ followers) and his Google+ account (14,000+ followers), your article will be seen by potentially thousands of photographers. With links to your site, this means a significant amount of exposure for you!
If you have an idea for an article, simply contact us with an outline of that idea and a link to your work online. But please read the guidelines below first:
To increase your exposure we include a bio at the top of the article, which can include links to your website and preferred social media. We also allow one non-commercial link to a site of your choice within the article.
The article must be completely unique and unpublished on the internet anywhere.
We don’t accept commercial articles.
The article should be a minimum of 300 words.
All print screens and images should be 600px wide (landscape) or 400px wide (portrait).
Although an accompanying video is not necessary, it would certainly be welcome.
We may change your article slightly, but usually this will be to increase its attractiveness to search engines so that we can gain more traffic, which in turn increases your exposure.
Articles should be presented with a decent level of English, and avoid unnecessary bad language. Humour, however, is always welcome.
