Installing Raya Pro on MacOs Catalina
Adobe have explicitly warned Adobe users not to update to Os Catalina for the time being. However, if you have already done so, please follow the installation steps below to install Raya Pro.
- Please go into the Raya Pro 4.0 download, then into the folder called 01. CC Users and finally into CC Raya Pro 4. There
you will see eight RP4 folders. Select all of these, right click and press Copy.
- Then paste all 8 of those folders into the following directory: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions.
- Make sure Photoshop is fully closed when you do this, then re-open it and go to the top menu Window and then down to extensions. There you should see the Raya Pro 4.0 panels. If you do not, please restart your Mac and go back to the window/extension menu and look again.
THE NUMBER 1 REASON WHY RAYA PRO HAS NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY
Around 99% of installation problems are solved with one email. Almost all of these problems happen because we are trying to install the wrong version of Raya Pro into our version of Photoshop. Most of the time users have Photoshop CC, but are attempting to install Raya Pro for CS6. Please look very carefully at the two folders in your download. One says ’01. CC Users’ and one says ’02. CS6 Users’. Please follow the installation instructions in the correct folder for your Photoshop.

Download & Unzip Problems
1. The download is really slow
The downloads are stored on Amazon servers and are generally extremely fast. However, if you find that the download is slow (even though you have fast internet), the easiest way to speed the download up is just by switching browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer etc.).
It’s amazing how quickly you can speed up the download just by trying a different browser. If you have tried this and the download is still slow, please contact us via the contact form on this site and we will help. Please include the email address you used to purchase Raya Pro in the email to us, so we can confirm your purchase. https://www.shutterevolve.com/contact/
2. I can’t unzip the folder
This usually means the file became corrupted during the download. Simply downloading it again with a different browser will fix this problem. However, if the problem persists, please download the most popular unzipping program in the world (and it’s free) 7zip. You can find it here: http://www.7-zip.org/download.html. Once downloaded, right-click on the file and you will see the 7zip options there. Rest assured, the file has been downloaded 1,000s of times. It will work, and we are always happy to help you with it.
3. I can’t unzip the folder – the path is too long
If you receive an error similar to this one, please just skip all of them. They will not affect the functioning of Raya Pro.
4. I need to download Raya Pro again
To download Raya Pro again, please log in to your account where you can download the latest version: Raya Pro log in Page
1. Could not load extension because it was not properly signed.
If you have just recently started getting this error in Photoshop CC, and before that Raya Pro was fine, please log into your account and download the latest version of Raya Pro and InstaMask. We have now fixed the problem. Log in here
This error happens for a number of reasons that are simple to resolve.
But firstly, please remove Raya Pro. Please follow the instructions in the uninstallation video at the top of this page.
When you have done that, you can re-install Raya Pro using the Manual Method found in the installation instructions. You may need to download the program again. You can do that here: https://www.shutterevolve.com/raya-pro-user/
Reasons why we get the ‘not signed’ error
Reason 1: the file was transferred to another computer via USB flashdrive or something similar. This will nullify the file. Instead, the zip file must be downloaded directly from the internet to the computer you wish to install it on.
Reason 2: the file was unzipped unconventionally. Some unzipping processes are not compatible with this file. The best way to unzip a file for Windows users is to place it on the desktop, right-click on the file, and choose Extract Here. Mac’s native unzip, which happens automatically after download, is the best way to unzip the file on a Mac.
Reason 3: the old version was not uninstalled correctly. If you are updating Raya Pro, but did not remove the old version fully, this will cause the installation to fail.
Uninstalling Raya Pro by following the appropriate video above, and re-installing using the instructions in the video should fix this problem.
Reason 4: the file became corrupted during the download process. Please re-download the file and install using the manual installation method.
2. Raya Pro is not appearing in Windows>Extensions.
This happens because we are trying to install an incompatible version of Raya Pro into Photoshop. Please look carefully at your version of Photoshop and make sure the Raya Pro file you are installing is the exact same version. For example, if you are a CC user, you must install Raya Pro from the folder 01. CC Users. The 02. CS6 Users folder is only for CS6.
Some users have found that particular versions of On1 programs have been blocking panels in Photoshop. Please try disabling On1 to see if this resolves the issue, if the above suggestion didn’t.
3. Extension Manager Errors
If you are receiving the above error, this is because Photoshop and Extension Manager are not communicating. You can verify this by opening Extension Manager and looking to the left where it says products. If you don’t see your version of Photoshop in there, then the two programs are not communicating correctly. Re-installing Photoshop can fix this problem, or speaking to Adobe support will help.
However, for reasons such as this we have the Manual Method which is a simple copy and paste process to install the panel. You can see this in the installation video included in your download.
If, on the other hand, your Photoshop is visible in the Products section, then this error means the version of Raya Pro that you are installing is not compatible with your version of Photoshop. Please check the file name carefully against your version of Photoshop.
If you have the above error, or something similar (the ranges might be different depending on the file you are installing), this means that the version of Raya Pro that is being installed is incompatible with your version of Photoshop. Please check the file name carefully against your version of Photoshop.
4. Raya Pro Buttons Not Working in CC14
If you are using the first version of Photoshop CC (14), then Raya Pro will look like the image below and the buttons do not work.
The problem is the version of Photoshop. Version 14.0 had a lot of errors, which Adobe fixed in future updatea. Please update your Photoshop and Raya Pro will work. You don’t need to update to a different version of Photoshop, like CC2017. However, updating your version of Photoshop 14 to the most recent version of 14 will fix the problem.
5. Extension Manager Not Working Due To Permissions
FOR WINDOWS USERS: Please open Extension Manager by right-clicking on the icon and choosing Run as Administrator. This should now work.
FOR MAC USERS: This only seems to affect a tiny portion of CS5 users. To fix this, open Extension Manager the following way:
Open Terminal (Note: To find Terminal, open the Go menu in Finder and select Utilities) and then copy and paste in the following command and hit Enter:
sudo "/Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CS5/Adobe Extension Manager CS5.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Extension Manager CS5"
After this you’ll be asked to type your password and then hit Enter to run Extension Manager with administrator privileges.
6. ZXP Installer Won’t Open on Mac
7. CCX Installer Won’t Open on Mac
This only seems to affect a tiny portion of Mac users. When they double-click on the CCX file to install Raya Pro in PS v22 or above on a Mac the following error message is presented: The document “Installer – Raya Pro.ccx” could not be opened. Creative Cloud cannot open files of this type.
To fix this. Drag and drop the CCX file onto the UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent.
